1. Cylindrical Type mobile phone vibration motor:

When DC supply is given to the motor the permanent magnet rotates. As its shaft is attached to the Eccentric mass counterweight, the mobile phone does vibrate.

This type of motors is used in old mobile phones. 

2. Coin Type mobile phone vibration motor:

This type of motors are looks like a coin. This type of motors is used in modern smartphones.

Normally a mobile phone vibration motor run at 9000rpm - 12000rpm. The rpm of motors varies with different phones.
